Here are a few more customized user presets. So far, Eventide has released one to two all new effects algorithms per year for the H9 including UltraTap Delay, EQ/Compressor, Resonator Delay, CrushStation Overdrive/Distortion, and now SpaceTime ModDelayVerb. This also continues to prove their concept of the H9 as an updatable and upgradable host vessel that is a blank slate for future firmware improvements as well as improvements to existing effects algorithms and new ones as they are developed. Eventide continues to remind everyone that recombining fundamental effects like modulation, delay, and reverb with powerful control over sequence and mixing as well as effects parameters results in exciting new space age sounds suitable for a wide range of styles. Like with most ET effects, the possibilities range from lush, sweet sound enhancement to sweeping, entrancing soundscapes to wild, warped meltdown special effects. The dual delays feedback also shifts from series to parallel. The three effects section have a unique mixer section that shifts the modulation feed among sections and between series/parallel reverb/delay. The SpaceTime algorithm is very cool the way it combines simple two knob modulation that sweeps from subtle chorus to deeply warped flanger with dual delays and reverb. The newly updated version of H9 Control app has a few system updates and the updated firmware for the H9 pedals contains the new SpaceTime effect algorithm, already unlocked for MAX subscribers and available to all H9 owners for purchase. F2 is a traditional feedback control, where delay times are independent. The shorter delay will not repeat again until the longer delay has passed. F1 links both delay times to create a rhythmic, repeating pattern where the longer delay sets the pattern length. FEEDBACK - Adjusts the amount of feedback for both delays and contains two feedback types (F1 & F2). With TEMPO ON, Delay is sync'ed to the TEMPO BPM and is adjusted in note division increments from No Delay (NO DLY) to a Whole Note (WHOLE) in the most common note divisions. DELAY A - Sets the Delay time for Delay A from 0 to 2500ms when TEMPO is OFF. After 50, DLY LVL reduces the dry signal sent to the Reverb allowing only the delay repeats to have Reverb when the control reaches 100. With DLY LVL set less than 50, dry signal and Delayed signal are both sent to the Reverb section. Can also be used to set the dry to wet blend of delayed signal sent to the Reverb in the series path. DELAY LEVEL - Controls the amount of both Delays in the signal path. COLOR - Changes the Reverb character from small and dense (set to 0) to large and spacious (set to 100). DECAY - Sets the decay length of the Reverb in seconds or Note Divisions when in Tempo Mode. Percussive playing coupled with long Delay times and short Reverb Decay times will showcase parallel routing. The first half of the knob adjusts Series Reverb level from 0 to 100 while the second half of the knob switches to Parallel routing and adjusts Reverb level from 0 to 100. VERB LVL - Adjust the output level of the Reverb and routes the Reverb in Series after the Delays or Parallel with the Delays. Continuously adjustable from 0.05Hz to 12.46Hz. RATE - Adjusts the speed of the LFO controlling the Modulation section of SpaceTime. Modulation depth also increases as you go from 0 to 100. MOD AMT - Adds Modulation to entire signal path. MIX - Controls overall algorithm wet/dry balance. Unique to SpaceTime is the ability to route the Delays and Reverb in series or parallel after Modulation, further adding to its versatility and creative applications. The Delays are based on Eventide's Vintage Delay Algorithm from the TimeFactor pedal and the Reverb section draws from both the Plate Algorithm in Eventide's SPACE pedal, as well as Eventide's ULTRA REVERB Native Plug-in. Modulation is most similar to a chorus and is the first effect in the signal path. SpaceTime is a multi-effects algorithm combining Modulation, two Delays, and Reverb into one, easy to use effect. FunFact: The dedicated HotSwitch allows for instant parameter modulation with a switch press. Here are the details on the SpaceTime effects modules and control parameters: Add DualVerb, MangleVerb and DynaVerb from the venerable Eventide Eclipse and Space has got you covered. Speaking of Space.you can really go there, BlackHole reverb with Gravity and Anti-Gravity! And, back here on earth, this pedal will handle all of your natural (Spring), unnatural (Reverse) and supernatural (ModEchoVerb) needs. Halls, Rooms, Plates from the Eventide flagship rack processors. All kinds of reverb! Quality reverbs that raise the bar for stage and studio.
